Jalle Dafa is an associate attorney at Siegel & Yee. She practices employment, civil rights, and business law. Her clients include whistleblowers, a NCAA Division I hockey coach who was wrongfully terminated in violation of Title IX, a young entrepreneur starting a non-profit organization, and a group of activists who have been denied certain 1st Amendment and procedural due process rights.
Jalle graduated from Brown University in 2007 with a degree in Political Economy. She received her J.D. from UC Berkeley School of Law. In law school she was the social justice chair of the Law Students of African Descent (LSAD), served on the Admissions Committee, and was a founding member of the Women of Color Collective (WOCC)
After law school Jalle was a fellow at Berkeley Law, where she provided institutional support to the pro bono programs and worked on various research projects with the most published professor at the law school. After her fellowship, Jalle joined the corporate group of Arnold & Porter LLP in the San Francisco Office. Jalle then worked on her own company while maintaining a side practice assisting start-ups with their legal work, including formation, employment agreements, HIPAA compliance, trademarks, and licensing. Jalle’s experience with both transactions and litigation enable her to take on a range of legal matters.
